Welding skills

One of the activities for today was to brush up on the skills of welding. It is a useful skill to have in National Park such as Finke Gorge, because you have to be pretty self sufficient. You don’t want to have to call contractors out for repairs all the time. That would blow the budget in no time. So having good mechanical, electrical and boiler maker skills is very handy. I made a little step for my Landcruiser. It sits in the door latch and makes it easier to access my roof rack. It’s pretty rough, but I was happy with it.
Ranger Nerida made an awesome table. It was so level that it didn’t even rock a bit. Great job.
We also did our service checks again and when we checked the generator we were greeted by a couple of little friends See below pictures)
