Started off the day spraying some broadleaf weeds in a patch of palms near the ranger station.
From there we did a patrol near an Aboriginal Outstation and surrounding water holes. It was so tempting to have a swim in the rock pool. It was a magnificent spot.
After lunch we then went into Palm Valley for my first time. It was truly amazing. There were reports of the stair case along the western end of Arankaia walk that appeared to be unstable. We discovered a small section on the lower landing had been damaged by termites.
Yep that brings back good memories of our time there.
It really is a must see in the NT. I’m sort of glad it’s not widely advertised. It has low visitor rates compared with other attractions. But that’s not such a bad thing.
